ISS announced today the launch of its 2017 benchmark voting policy consultation period, which will solicit comments on these U.S. proposed voting policies for 2017 through 6:00 p.m. ET on November 10th:

- Unilateral Board Actions – Multi Class Capital Structure at IPO
- Restrictions on Binding Shareholder Proposals
- General Share Issuance Mandates for Cross- Market Companies (US-listed, non-US-incorporated companies)
- Executive Pay Assessments (Cross-Market Companies)

This new memo from Kingsdale Shareholder Services and post from EdwardHauder.com summarize the proposals. Comments should be submitted to policy@issgovernance.com. ISS will release final 2017 policies the week of November 14th.
