2017 Essentials Express and Eastern New England Chapter Conference

Essentials Express is a basic training course for new corporate secretaries. Those who need a refresher or to brush up on their skills find it helpful too. The one and a half day program will be taught by seasoned corporate secretaries and governance professionals who will give you the tools you need to manage the responsibilities of the role. The program is regularly approved for CLE and other education credit by several states.
Who attends Essentials Express? Attendees come from a variety of backgrounds. The subject matter attracts corporate secretaries, in house counsel, paralegals, law firm partners and many other professionals who are employed by large cap companies, small and mid-cap companies, as well as private companies and nonprofits.

Essentials Express will be held on October 31 and November 1 and will be followed by the Eastern New England Chapter Conference on November 1 which will dive deeper into corporate governance topics.
Keynote Address: On November 1, Brackett B. Denniston, former General Counsel, General Electric Company and Senior Counsel, Goodwin Procter LLP, will speak at the joint Essentials Express and Eastern New England Chapter Conference luncheon.
The Eastern New England Conference will be held Wednesday, November 1. The program will explore more advanced governance topics including:

On Wednesday evening the Eastern New England Chapter Conference will move offsite to the nearby offices of Ropes & Gray LLP for a reception and continued networking.

Preconference Program: Investor Forum, Monday, October
30, 3:30 – 5:30 pm
An opportunity for issuer members to meet with approximately
5 investors in small group roundtable sessions. Previous forum
participants have included representatives from BlackRock, BNY Mellon, Capital
Group, Fidelity, Nuveen, Vanguard and more.
Registration Fees: You have the option to register for either Essentials Express, or the Eastern New England Chapter Conference, or both. Member registration fees begin at $625 for Essentials Express only; $100 for Eastern New England Chapter Conference only; or $725 for both. Nonmember registration fees begin at $1,250 for Essentials, $100 for Eastern New England Chapter Conference, or $1,350 for both. Nonmember registration includes 1 year of Society membership.
