Institutional Affiliates

Any institutional investor, educational institution, proxy voting advisory service or other entity interested in the work of the Society, or any professor or other instructor at a college or university (an "academic"), may become an institutional affiliate upon payment of an annual fee established by the Board of Directors. With the exception of an academic, institutional affiliate status is held by the entity rather than any representative of that entity.

The purpose of creating the institutional affiliate status is to allow interested persons not otherwise eligible for Society membership the opportunity to better understand Society positions on issues of mutual interest through access to our website and publications and by engaging with our members at national and regional conferences. Institutional affiliates and their representatives are not members of the Society and as a result are not entitled to all of the benefits of membership, including participation in Society leadership, committees and chapter activities.

Among the benefits available to institutional affiliates are:

  • The weekly Society Alert©
  • The quarterly Directors' Cut©
  • Access to publications, webcasts, job bank, membership directory and other materials on the website (other than In-House only community)
  • Discounted admission to Society national and regional conferences

The annual fee for affiliates is $595.
