
On June 9th the SEC announced its second-largest Dodd-Frank whistleblower reward - over $17 million to a former company employee whose detailed tip reportedly "substantially advanced the agency's investigation and ultimate enforcement action."
The SEC's release notes that, with this award, five whistleblowers have been awarded more than $26 million in the past month, and 32 whistleblowers have been awarded over $85 million since the whistleblower program's 2011 inception.
