Among the many notable takeaways from last Friday's "Board Evaluations" panel session at the Society's annual conference (highlighted here) were the discussions about alternative approaches to gathering input on board and director performance, communicating that feedback, and then doing something actionable with that information.
This whitepaper: "Board and Director Evaluations in the 21st Century" - shared by seasoned board consultant and panelist Board Advisor's Beverly Behan for conference attendees only (available on our website's Conference Handouts page) is particularly noteworthy in that it includes sample board action plans (Appendix A), as well as a sample individual director feedback report (Appendix C) for those boards that conduct individual director evaluations, an increasingly common practice.
