Hester Peirce Likely Trump Nominee for SEC Commissioner

In what is generally deemed to be a business-favorable move, former Obama SEC Commissioner nominee Hester Peirce is reportedly likely to be renominated by President Trump for the Republican vacancy on the Commission. Bloomberg also reports Columbia University law professor Robert Jackson and Senator Elizabeth Warren aide Bharat Ramamurti as names being floated to fill the current remaining Democratic vacancy, although Commissioner Stein's term also is technically expired, as discussed in our first prior report "SEC Chair Nominee Jay Clayton Confirmed!" below.
