According to recent benchmarking on big company annual report (AR) and proxy statement disclosure practices conducted by Society member Argyle, an overwhelming 87% of the Dow 30 address ESG/sustainability in their proxy statements, and nearly 75% of the Dow 30 include a letter from the CEO, Chair, Lead Director and/or Corporate Secretary.

- 50% of companies address ESG/sustainability in their AR wrap
- 27% of companies present ESG/sustainability metrics in their AR wrap
- 67% of companies present board oversight of ESG/sustainability in their proxy
- 40% of companies present future ESG/sustainability goals in their proxy
- 60% of companies present ESG/sustainability metrics in their proxy
- 30% of companies present external ESG/sustainability recognitions in their proxy
- 53% of companies present a link to their CSR/ESG/sustainability report in their proxy
