Equilar announced a new milestone for female representation on Russell 3000 boards - an increase from 19.3% to 20.2% of board seats in the second quarter of 2019, up from 15% in January 2017 and 16.9% in the first quarter of 2018. The overall percentages reflect the increasing number of board vacancies being filled with women directors - from just 25% in January 2017 to 41% in the most recent quarter (albeit down from 46.8% in the first quarter of 2019).
