UK non-executive director-launched network "Chapter Zero, the Directors’ Climate Forum" released an updated version of its climate change boardroom toolkit to help directors worldwide understand - and meaningfully engage and act on - the business risks and opportunities associated with climate change. The toolkit is comprised of: (i) an instructive overview of climate change, climate change impacts, and the associated implications (risks and opportunities) for businesses, and (ii) an action plan for directors - including an automated and collaborative self-assessment tool ("Board Readiness Check") for directors and boards to prompt action, provide a platform for scenario analysis and planning, and facilitate development of a strategy, objectives and targets, and a plan for implementation.

The toolkit also includes links to numerous additional relevant resources. Part of the World Economic Forum Climate Governance Initiative, Chapter Zero was established in June 2019. Membership is free. See also our prior reports on the preceding version of the toolkit and the initial launch (see "Climate").
