DLA Piper's "Climate activism: Status check and opportunities for public companies" recounts the recent and anticipated activities and aims of the investor-led Climate Action 100+ (reported on below) with a view toward preparing companies for growing climate activism. Although the campaign thus far has been limited to a small group of public companies, the firm makes clear that both public and private companies will be increasingly scrutinized and pressured to take actions consistent with climate change risk mitigation.
