The Corporate Political Responsibility Taskforce at the University of Michigan’s Erb Institute launched a framework in the form of broad principles to assist companies in determining whether and how to engage in political activities. Each of the sound principles—Legitimacy, Accountability, Responsibility, and Transparency—is fleshed out with a series of corporate responsibilities and opportunities. Inaugural supporters of the new scheme include Aspen Skiing, Danone North America, DSM North America, IBM, and Pirelli Tire North America.
