Following yet another court decision yesterday, FinCEN announced that, subject to further modifications, the reporting requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act are back in effect with an extended reporting deadline for most companies to March 21. As previously reported (see “Uncertainty”), FinCEN will continue to evaluate options to reduce businesses’ regulatory burdens and focus reporting requirements on the most significant national security risks.
