Impacts of Regulatory Environment on DEI & Other Workplace Practices

According to Littler’s recently released Annual Employer Survey report, more than half of companies with a DEI program indicated that they are considering new or further rollbacks of their programs and policies to at least some extent as a result of Trump administration executive orders, as shown here:

The survey, which also addresses workplace-related AI, leaves, accommodations, return-to-office arrangements, religion, non-competes, and other practices, was conducted from late February to mid-March 2025 of 349 in-house counsel (59%), CHROs and other HR professionals (39%), and other C-suite executives (2%) across industries and company sizes.
