#MeToo: Risk Mitigation Steps for Boards

Bryan Cave's "Caught Between a Rock and a Hard Place: #MeToo Movement Creates Challenges for Directors" includes a checklist of sound, proactive steps for boards to mitigate #MeToo-related corporate culture risks - particularly sexual harassment claims involving executives and other employees. Among the suggested action items are ensuring appropriate coverage in company policies and codes of ethics, board training and board support of workforce training, express board committee responsibility for culture risks, regular reporting to the board on harassment or misconduct allegations involving executives, board oversight of investigations, and culture-focused compensation incentives & consequences.
