As previously reported, among the S&P 500 - which has a high rate of voluntary sustainability reporting (reportedly 78% as of 2018), the Sustainable Investments Institute (Si2) found that 36% of sustainability reports included external (third party) assurance, but that about 90% of external assurance pertains only to some data - typically GHG emissions.
