Kirkland's "#MeToo Compliance — Two Years In, 'Wait-and-See' Is No Longer An Option" identifies five actions companies can take to reduce the likelihood of occurrence of a potentially damaging #MeToo incident and mitigate the fallout risks in the event an incident occurs. Importantly, while preventing an incident can never be assured, the suggested initiatives - if implemented and adhered to over time - will allow the company to demonstrate that any incident that does occur is anomalous and otherwise inconsistent with the company's robust policies and procedures, and ingrained culture and values.
