In this new thoughtful new post: "Time to Replace Nominating with Governance Committee," Society member and founder of The Governance Solutions Group, Denise Kuprionis, recounts the evolving mandates of the audit and compensation committees and soundly suggests that a similar type of review and revamp of responsibilities is in order (or overdue) for the Nom/Gov Committee - inclusive of a name change from the "Nominating Committee" to the "Governance Committee." She suggests seven logical areas of Governance Committee responsibility for board consideration, and provides an overview of what those responsibilities may logically encompass.
