The Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) reported that 81 of its institutional investor members signed onto this statement sent to Business Roundtable CEOs imploring companies to pause their political spending for six months to evaluate the risks, and to - at a minimum - adopt the CPA-Wharton Zicklin Model Code of Conduct for Corporate Political Spending (the updated form of which we recently reported on here). The statement also urges companies to consider much more stringent measures including ending their PACs and political spending at all levels.
