2022 Environmental & Social Proposals Garnering Less Support

According to Semler Brossy’s most recent “2022 Say on Pay & Proxy Results” report, of 80 social proposals and 25 environmental proposals voted on this proxy season at Russell 3000 companies as of May 26, six social proposals and three environmental proposals received majority shareholder support, reflecting a decline of 11% and 20% in majority support of social proposals and environmental proposals, respectively, year-over-year. The median vote support this season is 25% for social proposals and 26% for environmental proposals, reflecting a significant drop in support year-over-year, particularly for environmental proposals, as shown here:
