The Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) released an overview of its ESG-related efforts and achievements attained through its members' filings of a record-breaking 504 shareholder proposals during the 2022 proxy season, compared to 307 proposal in 2021 and 285 proposals in 2020.

Of the 212 proposals that went to a vote, 37 garnered majority support, led by DE&I-related and climate-focused proposals, at 12 proposals and 10 proposals, respectively:

174 proposals (34%) resulted in agreements between the company and proponent, the majority of which focused on climate and DE&I. Only 16 proposals were omitted based on the SEC’s grant of no-action requests.
