On August 31, the Society submitted this comment letter in response to the ISS Annual Benchmark Policy Survey (we reported on here) for the 2023 proxy season. The letter addresses potential ISS policy positions on climate-related board accountability, transition plans, and CAMs; financed emissions; multi-class share structures; problematic governance structures; and racial equity/civil rights audits. Thank you to Society Corporate Practices Committee chair (Suzanne Rolon, Pfizer) and the numerous Climate Action 100+ and other Society members who participated in this important effort.
