The US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas issued a nationwide preliminary injunction against enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act and its implementing regulations based on their likely unconstitutionality, thus staying the January 1, 2025, compliance deadline and precluding enforcement for noncompliance. The unconstitutionality has not yet been definitively determined.
