CARB announced that it will hold a virtual public workshop on May 29 from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm Pacific time to present information and obtain feedback on its development of regulations to implement SB 253 (GHG emissions disclosure) and SB 261 (climate risk disclosure). The workshop will consist of an overview of the legislation, a timeline for regulatory development, and an overview of feedback CARB received in response to its Information Solicitation. Informed by a ~55-member working group, the Society’s response to the Information Solicitation is here.
The workshop reportedly will also include a comparative analysis of existing mandatory and voluntary GHG and reporting mechanisms and an opportunity for oral feedback. Workshop materials will be posted on CARB’s website in advance. Register for virtual attendance here. The Society plans to participate.
