CARB announced a virtual public workshop to be held Monday, March 23, 2026, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Pacific Time to:
· Provide additional information on the August 10, 2026, Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions reporting deadline approved on February 26
· Discuss the next phase of regulatory development
· Provide an overview of the development of SB 253 GHG emissions reporting requirements for 2027-2030
Discussion will include preliminary staff options for Scope 3 reporting requirements for 2027-2030, a solicitation of alternative approaches, and an overview of staff’s approach to the economic analysis.
