Overboarding

Ready
There is no legal requirement to limit or condition the number of other public company boards on which a company's directors may serve, but many public companies adopt such policies. These types of policies are commonly known as "overboarding" policies - designed to prevent directors from serving on multiple other boards such that it would be difficult to devote the time and attention necessary to effectively fulfill his or her responsibilities as a director to the subject company.
