Opportunity - Essentials Conference

This is a three-day conference held annually in January or February, currently alternating between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It covers the fundamentals of corporate governance, including what is required for effective governance, practical solutions with examples, actionable takeaways for emerging issues, and opportunities for thought-provoking discussions with peers. The conference is directed at practitioners in the earlier stage of their corporate governance careers but also acts as a refresher for more seasoned professionals. We feature a select small group of sponsors and exhibitors (10 to 15) offering services and products as business solutions.

Audience

In 2024, the 269 registrants included 188 in-house practitioners representing 121 public companies and 21 private companies and not-for-profits, as well as 23 law firm partners and associates from 19 law firms. We expect the 2026 Essentials Conference to attract 250-300 attendees, including corporate secretaries, chief legal officers, and other in-house practitioners in the areas of governance, compliance, sustainability, investor relations, risk management, and related areas.
