Join our moderator, Society President & CEO Paul Washington, with panelists Lillian Brown (Society Securities Law Committee Co-Chair), Shawn Filippi (Society Senior Policy Engagement & Advocacy Advisor), and Elizabeth Foydel (Society Director for Policy Engagement & Advocacy) for a discussion of recent developments, what’s on deck, and the Society’s engagement on key policy matters at the SEC and Congress, including disclosure reform and tokenization of equities.

• Disclosure reform: What’s the status of SEC disclosure reform proposals?  Where are the main areas of consensus and disagreement among commentators?  What are the prospects for, and the potential impact of, the INVEST Act, which passed the House and is now awaiting Senate action?
• Tokenization of equities:  What may the SEC do on tokenization of equities?  What might it mean for your company and for the proxy system?  What is the future of the CLARITY Act?
• What else is on the docket:  What are some of the SEC’s other priorities?  What else might be proposed in this Congress or the next one relating to governance and disclosure?
