We are thrilled to invite you to a virtual roundtable: Board Use of AI, taking place on Thursday, August 27, from 2:00-3:15 PM (Eastern). As AI tools and platforms rapidly evolve, directors are increasingly using AI in connection with their board responsibilities. Yet many governance professionals have little visibility into whether and how those tools are being used or what governance guardrails should apply. This growing gap between directors’ adoption of AI and governance professionals’ visibility into directors’ use raises important legal, governance, confidentiality, privilege, cybersecurity, and board oversight considerations.Organized in collaboration with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), this virtual Chatham House Rule discussion will bring together governance professionals and directors for a candid discussion of emerging practices, practical use cases, lessons learned, and actionable insights regarding directors’ use of AI. Informed in part by fresh Society benchmarking data, the discussion will explore both the opportunities and governance considerations associated with board use of AI.
