INDIVIDUAL MEMBER

Individual Membership is available to any person (1) whose primary roles are as corporate secretaries and assistant corporate secretaries of legal entities or (2) who serves as General Counsel or persons associated with the corporate counsel office.

Individual Members are entitled to all of the benefits of membership.

*Annual dues for Individual Members are currently $775 per year. This membership is held by the individual rather than the corporation. A member’s status is not affected by changes in duties, company affiliation or retirement.

INSTITUTIONAL AFFILIATE

Affiliate Membership is available to institutional investors, educational institutions, academia, proxy voting advisory services or others interested in the work of the Society.

Institutional affiliates and their representatives are entitled to some, but not all, benefits of membership, including all resources and educational programs.

*Annual dues for Affiliate Members are currently $675 per year. With the exception of an academic, institutional affiliate status is held by the entity rather than any representative of that entity.

SERVICE PROVIDER MEMBER

Service Provider Membership is available to any person (1) whose firm provides services to the corporate secretarial, governance, legal, ethics or compliance functions or (2) employed by a legal entity that has a substantial involvement with the corporate governance, ethics or compliance functions within their entity.

Service Provider Members are entitled to all of the benefits of membership with the exception of access to the In-House only community.

LAW FIRM MEMBER

Law Firm Members fall under the Service Provider Membership category, which is available to any person (1) whose firm provides services to the corporate secretarial, governance, legal, ethics or compliance functions or (2) employed by a legal entity that has a substantial involvement with the corporate governance, ethics or compliance functions within their entity.

Law Firm / Service Provider Members are entitled to all of the benefits of membership with the exception of access to the In-House only community.

COMPANY MEMBER

Company Membership is available to corporate entities and law firms. This option is not available to service providers. Under a Company Membership, the individual still holds the membership, with each individual holding one vote, and is entitled to all of the benefits of membership. An entity set up under this option is permitted to switch members in the course of the membership year. 

The annual rate for the first member at an entity is $775 per year. Rates for additional members under Company Membership are offered at a discount on a sliding scale depending on the number of members. 

*The cost for 7 members or more is $525 for the 7th member plus $525 for each additional member.
