SEC COVID-19 Relief: Some Will Continue; Some Won't

By Randi Morrison posted 06-28-2020 03:10 PM

Further to our recent post, on Friday, SEC Chair Clayton and staff issued a Statement summarizing all of the market-wide COVID-19-related relief or other accommodations to date, along with each respective Division's (Corp Fin, Investment Management, Trading & Markets) recommendations to the Commission about whether the relief or other accommodations should be further extended based on how relevant conditions and practices have evolved since the onset of the pandemic.

For example, Corp Fin does not believe that further extension of the temporary conditional reporting relief for certain public company filings obligations (SEC Orders: March 4 | March 25) is necessary; however, staff will continue to accommodate electronic and remote EDGAR access request notarizations per the accommodations provided March 26
