PwC’s “A deeper dive into talent management: the new board imperative” suggests how boards can effect their oversight responsibilities beyond the traditional C-suite to “up-and-comers” (future C-suite successors) and middle management without inappropriately assuming the day-to-day roles and responsibilities of management. In addition to proposed action steps, talent management-related key performance indicators, employee engagement approaches, and accountability tools, the guide includes a sample C-suite readiness chart and questions for directors to ask management to facilitate the board’s oversight.
