The Society submitted a letter and responses to an online questionnaire to EFRAG in response to its public consultation on the ESRS revisions as directed by the European Commission and as outlined in EFRAG’s responsive work plan (reported in last week’s Society Alert).
Thank you to the numerous companies represented by Society members who informed our robust response, and to Marc Rotter (Ropes & Gray) and Beth Sasfai (Cooley) in particular for their collaboration, insights, and expertise, which enabled us to pull together and harmonize multiple views and data points under tight time and process constraints.
Also, as previously reported, the Society is benchmarking the extraterritorial impacts of the CSRD and CSDDD on US companies to help support an updated and refined position paper on the substantive aspects of the EU Omnibus Simplification Proposal. If you are an in-house public or private company member and your company is subject to the CSRD or CSDDD, your participation in this survey (pdf here) is extremely important to help us inform EU policy makers about the extraterritorial implications of these directives.
