CCGP_logo.jpgThe Society for Corporate Governance launched the CCGP - Certified Corporate Governance Professional credential for corporate governance professionals, the first-of-its-kind in the United States. Individuals who earn the CCGP designation demonstrate their core knowledge of corporate governance.

The CCGP defines the knowledge requirements of a governance professional. Individuals who earn the CCGP designation will have demonstrated their knowledge in the area of corporate governance.

The certification - relevant to both law firm and in-house practitioners and other corporate governance professionals - was developed over a 2-year period by Society leaders and corporate governance experts aligning to rigorous national accreditation standards. Governance professionals meeting eligibility requirements via a combination of experience and education and who pass the exam are awarded the CCGP - Certified Corporate Governance Professional designation.

The CCGP program is governed by a seven-person Commission independent of the Society's Board, responsible for all CCGP decision-making and administration to ensure impartiality. Commissioners are leading corporate governance practitioners from private and in-house practice.
